Times:    Warm-up 1:00 PM, Meet starts 2:00 PM (continuous warm-up available) 

Location: Burbank YMCA, 36 Arthur B. Lord Dr., Reading, MA 01867 781-944-9422. The COMPETITION POOL has eight lanes, 25 yards, a Daktronic Timing System with touch pads and scoreboard. A separate WARM-UP pool is available for continuous use. 

Entries: Entry information must be complete and received by 5:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2006. Use short course times. NT will not be accepted (“coaches” times are fine so we can adequately seed the meet). Meet will be computer seeded after scratches are turned in. Fees must accompany entries. There will be no refunds and no post entries or telephone entries accepted. Entry fees are $4.00 per individual event, $12.00 per relay event, $5.00 per 1000/1650. Seeding: In the best interest in running an efficient meet male and females may be combined for the 1000/1650. All swimmers in the 1000/1650 must provide (2) timers and a counter for their swim.  Swimmers will be seeded one per lane; entries will be limited to allow completion of the meet in a reasonable time.   Both the 1000/1650 will be swum fast to slow, alternating female and male.

Eligibility: Swimmers must be members of a YMCA for at least 30 days prior to competition.  

SPECIAL NOTE:  SWIMMERS WISHING TO COMPETE IN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS MUST HAVE MEMBERSHIP WITH THEIR YMCA 90 DAYS PRIOR TO THE COMPETITION. 

Entry Limitations: Swimmer may swim an unlimited number of events. If entry limitations are necessary due to over subscription, cuts will be made by date of receipt of entry.  If multiple entries are received on the same date, cuts will be made based on time.  There will be no refunds for accepted entries unless the meet is oversubscribed.

Admission: $1.00 – Program $1.00

Refreshments:   Refreshments will be available.

 

Directions:  Take Route 128 (I95) to Route 28 North - Reading. Continue through Reading Center, at the second light take a left onto Birch Meadow Drive. Arthur B. Lord Drive is the first right.

Relays:  You need not declare swimmers until the day of the meet. We will provide cards for coaches to fill out at the beginning of the meet for relays.

Coaches:  All coaches should check in with the clerk of course upon arrival at the pool to pick up the Coach’s packet. Coaches will be supplied with scratch sheets which must be filed 30 minutes before the start of the session. Please remind your swimmers there is to be absolutely no wandering around the premises. No food or beverages are permitted anywhere in the pool area or locker rooms. Burbank Y Bluefins and the Burbank YMCA assume no responsibility for lost or stolen property. Your cooperation in respecting the use of the Burbank YMCA facility is required and appreciated.
